Answer:I’d love to go back to my hometown in the fall because it is such a beautiful time of year there. We can enjoy the autumn colors while walking around or taking long bicycle rides on the country roads. But I would really like to live in a big city some day and experience what it's like to be an urbanite(city dweller).
There are so many things to do, places to see and people to meet—it sounds like one wouldn't have enough free time even if he/she decided to stay at home all day every day for a year!
I think that cities with historical heritage and rich culture, such as Rome, Paris and New York City, are just amazing——I want to learn about their history by visiting museums and art galleries. I also wish to attend some literary or music festivals, take dance classes 和 go to comedy shows. There are too many things to do!
I'd like to talk about Beijing, the capital city of China. It's the place where I was born and spent my first 20 years of life. As the capital, Beijing is the political, cultural and educational centre of China. In recent years, it has also become one of the most important economic centres of Northeast China. Beijing has an extremely rich cultural heritage which attracts a large number of tourists from home and abroad. The Great Wall, which you may well know is often referred to as one of the seven wonders of the world, snakes its way across the northern tip of the city. In central Beijing there is the world's largest palatial complex, the Forbidden City, where China's last two feudal dynasties had their imperial palaces. The Summer Palace on the western fringes of the city is another well-known ancient garden.
On the eastern edge of Beijing there are two well-known universities - Peking University, my university, and Tsinghua University, another prestigious university in China. They are as important in Chinese education as Harvard or Yale are in the US. To the northwest of the city lies the Fragrant Hills Park, which is famous for its beautiful forest of maple trees. Their leaves turn deep red in autumn and are a real feast for the eyes. This is one of my favourite places and I used to go there with my classmates once in October every year while I was still at university.
