博士有生活费吗？
有！ 但不同学校可能情况会有不同，需要具体问题具体分析~ 首先排除那些没有奖学金或者助学金的phd项目。这些项目的phd往往跟master一样，需要自费读书，虽然可能没学费（如英国）或学费很便宜（如香港、新加坡）但一般都没有的生活费。这类项目通常申请难度较大且对申请人的背景要求极高。
然后我们来说有奖学金和助学金的情况，一般来说这样的项目分为两种：
1.奖学金/助学金+工资型的phd 这种项目是学校提供了奖学金(scholarship)/助学金(fellowship)的同时，还给发一定的工资。
以牛津为例：PhD students are either self-funding or they hold a suitable scholarship (see below for details)， and receive a stipend of £19，385 (2017–18 rates) tax free towards their living expenses in the UK. In addition to their stipends PhD students are also entitled to access to any hospital or medical facilities as an employee， which means you can have your doctor's appointments at no extra cost.
注：这里说的self-funded并不是指你自己付所有的费用，而是指你不需要交学费，但是需要负担自己的生活费。
2.免学费型phd 有的学校会给phd学生减掉学费，甚至全免，同时也会给一定的生活费。比如哥大就有这样的政策： The Ph.D. program is fully funded， with tuition remission and an annual stipend of $34，000， payable throughout the three years of full-time study for domestic (U.S.citizens and permanent residents) applicants and four years for international applicants.
当然啦！还有另一种可能，那就是你在读研的时候有非常好的科研成果，发了特别牛的paper或者是找到了大牛当导师，那么很有可能你的学校会给你提供faculty的position，这种位置一般都是full-time并且是带薪的呦～
